Welcome, Women!Women have weight issues! Big surprise. How many women do you know who are delighted with their weight, their face, their breasts or buttocks? We came by these "issues" honestly enough. We are affected--and sometimes barraged--by our family, friends, culture and media. AND, they all think they know what is right for us. How presumptuous is that?
Women have health issues.Your health and well-being is YOUR personal issue...and we're all different. So, there is no "one size fits all" program. That is one of the main reasons you may have fallen away from some wonderful program you fastidiously committed to from a women's magazine or latest diet book...or, even, from a well-meaning but uninformed doctor. There is a good reason. That program was not right FOR you. It did not know your particular body, history or lifestyle, It was a broad-stroke program that carefully covered its premises without leaving it liable to a law suit! (Did you read the disclaimers in the front of the book?) THERE IS NO MASS PROGRAM THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE WHO READS IT....and you know that!! That's why working one-to-one with your own personal health coach engaged with you and your goals is the only thing that makes real sense. Women's magainzes subliminally suggest that you, too, can be wafer thin, attracting gorgeous men and should be wearing very expensive clothes...because that's the way it should be. They sneakily suggest that if you only tried harder you, too, could “look like that”. If you’ve been reading them, and feeling hard done by, this is the program for you. Just because your mom or your sister, cousin or aunt can eat all they want of rich, heart-clogging foods and maintain a size 0 has nothing to do with your metabolism, values or goals. Do you accept their supposedly "constructive criticism" and feel that you are simply not doing enough? STOP! They are not you. Why would you compare yourself to another woman? Why on earth would you do that? You don’t have the same DNA, you don’t have the same genes, and you certainly don’t have the same metabolism. (BY THE WAY, I only work with people who are ready to lose weight
